Tom Savini directs this remake of the classic 68 zombie flick, which maintains the original characters and storyline until the Barbara, who was essentially comatose in the original version, becomes an ass-kicking zombie killer. The theatrical version of this film was heavily cut to ensure an R rating - this workprint version of the film contains at least some of the blood and gore that would later be edited out.
